Theory

In addition to theorizing about Gestalt and therapeutic exercises, about Hoffman's approach to healing relations with parents and about the character neuroses, Dr. Naranjo has taken an interest in the theory of psychotherapy and the facets of psychological healing beyond its specific schools. Though this aspect of his thinking has been mostly expressed in curriculum design and in seminar situations - in connection with his conducting the psychotherapy laboratory that is part of the SAT programs - we include here some of his written statements, including "The Nasrudin Theory of Neurosis" and "The Interphase Between Meditation and Psychotherapy".
